One day after Hawaii's Governor Linda Lingle vetoed four new tax bills, Democrat lawmakers overrode all four vetoes in a special session. The Hawaii State Senate is composed of twenty-three Democrats and two Republicans. The House has forty-six Democrats and five Republicans.

On May 7th, at 3:30 pm, inside the Hawaii State Capitol, Governor Linda Lingle will veto several proposed tax incentives. The governor responded to an email that thanked her for action. Lingle's office telephoned me and extended an invitation to the event.
